SYNAPTIC SPORTS MEDICINE AT LTE WELLNESS CLUB

Sports
Recovery.

Recovery that starts with a question — what are you recovering from, and for? — instead of a fixed menu of gadgets. With Kyle Fisher, MS, LAT, ATC in Pembroke Pines.

THE APPROACH

Selected, not standardized.

A Synaptic recovery session is built around your training load, your sport's demands and what your body is telling you that week. Depending on what's appropriate, sessions draw on the hands-on and movement-based tools described in this section — massage-based soft-tissue work, targeted soft tissue mobilization, compression flossing, cupping and guided mobility work.

Who it may suit

Athletes in-season or in heavy training blocks, people juggling demanding training with demanding jobs, and anyone whose soreness and stiffness keep intruding on their next session.

What recovery can honestly do

The best-supported effects of hands-on recovery are on how you feel — soreness and perceived tightness — rather than on measurable performance or healing speed. You'll never hear magic claimed here; see the evidence discussions on each technique's page.

Distinct from LTE amenities

LTE members separately enjoy zero-gravity heated massage beds, compression therapy and Theragun sessions as club amenities — see LTE Recovery. Synaptic recovery is individualized clinical time with Kyle, scheduled separately.

Only the techniques listed in this section are offered. Modalities you may have seen elsewhere — cryotherapy chambers, red light, cold plunge, IV therapy — are not part of Synaptic's current services, and this page won't pretend otherwise.

GOOD TO KNOW

Recovery supports training.
It doesn't replace it.

Research on recovery modalities consistently finds the same pattern seen in a 2022 randomized trial of athletes with post-exercise muscle soreness (Angelopoulos et al., Healthcare 2022): interventions reduced pain, but didn't change strength or function. That's still valuable — feeling better matters, and comfort can help you train consistently — but the foundation of recovery remains sleep, nutrition, and sensible training load. A recovery session here will often end with a conversation about exactly those things.

How is this different from LTE's recovery amenities?

LTE's amenities are self-serve equipment included in the membership experience. Synaptic recovery is one-on-one clinical time: assessed, hands-on and tailored to your week — and scheduled separately through an appointment request.

How often should I come?

There's no universal answer and no package being pushed. Frequency is discussed based on your training calendar and response.
